We now run appointments at Quedgeley and Longlevens every day.  This makes it easier to see the vet of your choice and minimises the amount of time you have to wait.  Evening appointments are very popular and to avoid disappointment they need to be booked well in advance.  We also recognise that taking time off work during the week may not be convenient, so we have introduced a weekend appointment service at Quedgeley, which is not just limited to emergency cases, on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

However busy we are we will always see urgent cases on the same day.

You might have thought it would be a requirement for a nurse to be in attendance at night.  You may be surprised to learn this is not the case and in many practices pets are left unattended at night.  We believe it is very important that a member of our nursing team is always in residence to look after your pet. Unlike a lot of other veterinary centres the out of hours care at night, weekends and bank holidays is managed by our own team of vets and nurses, we do not contract the work out to other clinics.  Our clients are our priority.

By providing our own emergency service, there are real benefits for our clients in terms of accessibility to the veterinary team who can give immediate advice and reassurance. If your pet has to be admitted there is no requirement to transfer it back to the referring practice, making continuity of treatment so much easier to deliver.

Finally the last thing you will need in an emergency at night is the additional problem of trying to find a surgery in an alien location or having your pet treated by a strange vet who does not have the full case history to hand.
